Our client is an international and well-established law firm located in the centre of Brussels.
They are currently recruiting an Information Assistant/Training Coordinator for their Knowledge Centre.
Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
-Daily liaison with Senior Knowledge Management Lawyer to determine priorities
-PA to the Senior Knowledge Management Lawyer: agenda management, travel arrangements, organising meetings, taking calls, editing documents, etc.
-Organising the quarterly trainees training (for London trainees + Infobank Paralegals)
-Managing the ‘Continuous Personal Development’ – points of the Department’s Associates: drafting certificates, contacting the Brussels bar for approval, inputting in database (SAP), ….
-Organising internal meetings (e.g. EC Practice Lunches, Quarterly Report Meeting, ACT ‘Webinar’) and related ‘Continuous Personal Development’ administration
-Collating information on external conference attendance for the Brussels Practice, putting into database (SAP)
-Multi-jurisdictional merger database: updating regimes and currency conversions, updating paper files
-Updating distribution lists (for the European competition newsletter, client-related newsletters, UK Competition law, etc.)
-Updating sections of the EU and ACT Subweb (Frontpage)
-Organising the Junior/ Midlevel/ Senior Associates training: sending out invitations (using Access), keeping track of attendance, organising logistics (lunch, dinner, hotel, travels, etc.)
-Updating Legislative binders (guidance book for other offices)
-Liaising with Associates of the other offices (worldwide)
PROFILE
-Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a support role. Experience within the legal field can be a strong asset!
-Good knowledge of English and Dutch OR French. Knowledge of the German language is an asset.
-Good knowledge of all Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Acces). IT-oriented (use of SAP, Frontpage, MAX, etc.).
-To be able to work independently, basic project management skills
-Self-learner, reliable, flexible, job conscious and helpful
-Good communication skills, ability to deal with people at all levels
-Team player, able to build good working relationships with colleagues
