OUR CLIENT IS A LEADING INTERNATIONAL LAW FIRM WITH OVER 2400 LAWYERS OVER 28 OFFICES AROUND THE WORLD. THEY ARE CURRENTLY RECRUITING FOR THEIR BRUSSELS OFFICE AN ASSISTANT TO PARTNER (GERMAN NATIVE SPEAKER).
JOB DESCRIPTION:
-Diary management.
-Coordinating and arranging meetings & other appointments, using Calendar (electronic diary system). Following up where appropriate.
-Making travel arrangements.
-Typing, word-processing and proofreading of documents.
-Providing a confidential support service to the partner on any department- related matter.
-Preparing presentations
-Maintaining an effective and up-to-date filing system which ensures easy retrieval of relevant materials.
-Answering telephone calls promptly. Full message taking, actioning and following up. Checking of voicemail regularly and responding to messages where appropriate.
-Email management, including printing/distributing/filing all personal or department-related emails as appropriate and dealing with queries in partner’s absence.
-Day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure smooth running of the office; dealing with service departments, organising photocopying etc. in timely fashion.

PROFILE:
-German native speaker (or mother tongue equivalent). Very good working knowledge of English. Knowledge of French would be an asset.
-Good secretarial skills with a formal secretarial qualification.
-IT-literate: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
-Must be reliable, flexible and helpful.
-Must have a positive, professional attitude, be able to remain calm under pressure and must be able to work to tight deadlines.
-Must be able to work on own initiative and be able to solve problems quickly and effectively.
-Must have good communication skills.
-Must have good organisational skills and attention to detail
